I've had very good luck with STIs and STDs, but my sex life in this city tends to haunt me with non-venereal diseases. I've also caught Strep Throat, Mono (EBV), Covid, and a a couple of common colds.

I just wanted to ask you all if this is common in NYC. I don't live here, but I commute into the city three days a week to a CUNY school (I live and work in Dutchess County). I've been commuting for over a year, and my hookups in NYC tend to make me sick more often than my hookups around home.

I wanted to ask if this is common, or "par for the course". I'm really rethinking my "promiscuity" after having Whooping Cough. It genuinely reinforced my philosophy that there are fates worse than death.
