I went to go hook up with this trans girl from grindr and was already skeptical. Got to her place and the vibe was off. It was a tiny studio with onlyfans equipment everywhere and she didn’t look as pretty as the photos. The overall atmosphere of her place was screaming “lonely, selfish and grim” despite the pink furniture.
Anyway, I’m inside and notice what looks like 15 pill bottles on her dresser. Now, I’m only newly out, I’m unfamiliar with the culture, the procedures, all the meds, all the terms, etc.
I know enough to know a little about prep at least, but that’s only one thing. So when i ask her “what’s all these pills” she says “that’s just my medicine” in the same tone that matches her apartment. Now i know it’s not exactly her responsibility to educate me, but that didn’t make me feel secure.
I don’t want to keep having to feel like i need to inspect everyone’s meds before hooking up. A lot of times when i hook up it’s not at someone’s house anyway so I don’t even see meds and that just kind of gives me more peace of mind. She also didn’t keep eye contact when saying she’s clean.
How can I feel more secure when encountering medicines in this community?
Thanks
