For those of you who applied to be invited to a GBU party, how long did it take for you to hear back just wondering. I applied a few weeks ago.

I recently received a text message regarding details for an upcoming GBU event, but it doesn't specifically state that I’m “invited.” I’m probably overthinking this lol, but just wanted to make sure that it’s reasonable to believe/imply that the text message is the invitation itself. Not sure why, but I presumed I would hear back by email for whatever reason. And was skeptical about the text message since I had not heard back in so long.

Moreover, on the day of the event (if I decide to go), would I just show them the text message I received on my phone as proof of getting an invitation? Or do they not really check that?

I'm sure the final decision for admitting someone is at the door (for verification/confirmation purposes), but I don't see why there would be an issue with that if I show up as who I presented myself in the application.
