Hi lovely folks
I just moved to NYC and am currently living in Brooklyn as I job search for opportunities working in Higher Ed. I recently earned a graduate degree earlier this year in the Boston area and decided to relocate here after since I have always wanted to live and work in the Big Apple.
Since I just moved here and don't know many people before coming here, I am interested in meeting new queer guys, and forming platonic friendships. I've honestly always wanted to have a group of queer guys for a friend group, but have never done so. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in meeting/socializing with me. If so, please DM me and thanks for considering regardless.
Moreover, I know there are plenty of gay bars in the area and that is often one way to meet new queer folks, but I don't drink alcohol due to health reasons and also don't enjoy dancing/clubbing/nightlife/raves in general. As a result, I'm not sure how much I would actually enjoy going to a bar and meeting folks that way, especially if I could also end up getting nervous and being socially anxious/awkward. Lol. If anyone has any suggestions on how to go about that or anything in general, that would be greatly appreciated.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring new places such as travelling, trying out new restaurants/places to eat, and just socializing with others and getting to know different folks. I don't necessarily have any particular preferences but would probably prefer folks closer to my age, however, don't hesitate to reach out if you still think we’d be a good fit and would vibe well. 🙂
