As a moderator for the r/nycgaybros subreddit, your primary responsibility is to maintain a watchful presence, intervening only when necessary to preserve the harmony of the community. Specifically, you should be vigilant in shielding the community from spam, identifying and reporting any sexualization of minors, and addressing individuals who disregard our "no spamming" rule.

While not required, prior experience in moderating a subreddit would be a strong testament to your expertise, enthusiasm, and suitability for this role. Please be aware that this position is unpaid, and you may not always receive gratitude for your efforts. In fact, at times, you might even bear the brunt of any blame. Thus, this role is best suited for individuals with a thick skin, who can thrive in the bustling New York City environment without concern for others' opinions, while still actively contributing to society.

Since taking on the moderator role in 2019, we have transformed this subreddit from a disorganized space filled with inappropriate ads to a welcoming forum where people can bring their questions and concerns.
