Hi all,
Just popping in to say that for anyone looking to donate to a great charity in 2021, I recommend looking into Meals on Wheels.
Iām a Registered Nurse and visit seniors in their homes for skilled nursing tasks (insulin, disease management assessment, wound care, etc) and nearly every day I encounter a volunteer dropping off food to one of my patients. I canāt even put into words how much these seniors appreciate the help. Outside of ensuring that they have food to eat, for many of these people, itās the only person who comes to visit them regularly. Right now with COVID, itās all contactless so it isnāt actually a visit, but as sad as it is, even just yelling out a āthank youā to the volunteer through the door is the most human contact that many of these seniors have all day.
In a world where itās sometimes hard to know if your money is really going to help people, just wanted to advocate for this charity!
