I know that some of these areas have signs that say "curb your dog" and I always respect those signs and use the areas that aren't marked. Am I doing this wrong? Should I be encouraging my dog to use the bathroom on the sidewalk instead? I just had someone walk past me and say "Curb your dog" while my dog was standing near a tree. I don't want to be *that* person if that's what it is (I know that too much urine can also be bad for trees).
I'm just conflicted and would love some clarification. Also, it seems a bit more disgusting that you'd want something to pee on the sidewalk that you walk on vs away from it.
