I found someone's phone on the ground in Midtown, but I'm not sure whose it is; what's the best way to find the owner?
Post Body

Should I just go to the police and drop it off at lost and found? Not really sure what the best thing to do is. The phone is locked, has no identifying information, and the background on the phone is just black.

It's a Google phone, and there's a tiny model number on the bottom on the back, and after searching it looks like it's a Pixel XL.

Update: I took it to a Verizon store and they were able to locate the owner! For privacy reasons they can't tell me who it is or anything, but if you're a Redditor, mystery phone owner, I'm glad you got your phone back.
