I’m East Asian, in my mid-30s, and was with my miniature poodle. I only had one (very strong) drink at Other Half but ended up having alcohol poisoning for the first time in my life.

A Lyft driver dropped me off on Kent Avenue between N 13th and N 14th around 3:08pm yesterday according to my phone. I woke up at Woodhull hospital around 6pm, and my dog was with me.

Someone used my phone to contact my boyfriend and also called an ambulance. I vaguely remember being surrounded by a few people on the street. I don’t remember their face at all, but I’d like to thank them for helping me and my dog.

(Edited to add the following at 00:54) I’m going to bed now but will respond to everyone tomorrow. I don’t take any medication except for maybe 400mg of ibuprofen for period cramps once a month. I’d really like to find those who helped me and my dog and properly thank them.

(Edit 2 at 12:37) Woodhull told me to come back to the ER if I wanted to get tested for roofie. I’d like to avoid the emergency room copay and a long trip to Bushwick from uptown Manhattan if possible. I’m calling urgent cares nearby to see if they can run the test.

(Edit 3 at 14:48) City MD and Northwell said they don’t offer testing for date rape drugs. My insurance would not cover an ER visit unless I’m in pain. There are urgent care centers that offer date rape drug testing, but it is not covered by insurance and costs $350 .
