Is anyone checking on the LES/East Village elderly??
Post Body
I got out of the East Village yesterday to stay with my sister uptown. But I've been thinking about those who don't have that option. When I left yesterday there were no city workers or anyone downtown providing food, water, assistance. The area has several high rise buildings with a large elderly population. What is being done? I fear that when the power comes back on, we may have some grisly finds downtown.
