Newbie Q again: Getting varying amounts of coin per hour? (approx 1.3 and 5.5)
Post Body

I just started mining today. This is my first cryptocurrency, so assume I know nothing.

I'm confused. I mined for about an hour. I got 1.3 coins. I mined an hour more. I got 5.5 coins.

The first hour, I was using the PC too. I was getting the same khash/s rate in both hours though (approx 299). No settings were changed.

Could anyone explain why?

Someone also estimated that with a HD 6870 I should be able to get 350 coins a day. Would people agree with that estimate? If so I'd need to be getting closer to 14.5 coins per hour, so my current rates are far below.
