So guys, I'm all ears for why this might be happening..

My Nvidia Shield 2019 is connected to a Denon X3700 receiver and into my Sony X90J TV.

All was fine, until sometime recently when the Shield started dropping its picture and the TV screen flickers black for half a second before returning to normal. This happens intermittently, maybe once or twice a minute. Until eventually after a coupe of minutes it loses signal altogether.

When I plug the Shield directly into the TV, the problem disappears. When I watch through output 2 on my Denon via my projector, the problem disappears.

So I don't know where this leaves me... cant be the TV if the problem disappears when connecting directly, and cant be the Denon if the problem disappears when I watch through my projector.

Also, my Xbox does not have this issue when connecting to the Denon and then the TV... so what could it be!?!

Things I've tried:

-different input on receiver

-changing resolution from 59.9 to 60 Hz on Shield

-a different cable

-disabling 8k on receiver

-disabling HDMI CEC on Shield
