Basically deciding between two laptops. One has a 4080 and one 4090 with about an $800 difference. Is it worth it? I am going to be using this laptop for a while (I typically upgrade every 6-8 years lol) so I would need something that’s going to last, especially since I game. I use the laptop for any games that aren’t console exclusive or multiplayer, iykyk lol. Would the 4090 be more future proof/last longer-better?
Here are the full specs. literally everything else is the same except for the graphics card:
NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4080 Laptop GPU (542 AI TOPs) ROG Boost: 1715MHz* at 145W (1665MHz Boost Clock 50MHz OC, 120W 25W Dynamic Boost, 125W 25W in Manual Mode) 12GB GDDR6
Vs.
NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4090 Laptop GPU (686 AI TOPs) ROG Boost: 1505 MHz* at 145W (1455MHz Boost Clock 50MHz OC, 120W 25W Dynamic Boost, 125W 25W in Manual Mode) 16GB GDDR6
