Hey everyone,
I'm currently running a setup with a 1070 Ti, primarily gaming at 1080p. I'm a super competitive player and I'm looking to make a significant upgrade that will last me for the long haul. I'm torn between the RTX 4070 Ti Super and the RTX 4080 Super, and I'd love to hear your opinions on which one would be the better choice.
I think you’re fine doing the 4070ti-S. The real big differential with longevity is the VRAM, and both cards have 16 GB of VRAM. Either one will absolutely annihilate any game at 1080p. The 70 will easily run anything aside from AW/CP @ 1440p with all the goodies turned on in triple-digit frames.
I’d save the $200 and go with the cheaper option, personally.

You really need a 4090 to run path tracing at max settings in AW2. It’s almost akin to “can it run Crysis” at this point.
