can anyone explain loans?

So, I plan on being a freshman at John Tyler this year, and I had to apply for a loan request through them, well on my SIS it shows the loan balance plus a VA Grant I received, but what do I need to do now? How do I go about using the loan or will it automatically take it? And where do I pay for the loan?
