I'm new to Nuzlockes.

I fancied something a little challenging but not over the top. My first attempt was a hardcore nuzlocke of vanilla Emerald. Run ended at Wallace's Ludicolo (his final mon). 6 deaths before E4. 2nd run was a hardcore nuzlocke of vanilla Fire Red. Run ended at Blue's Charizard (also final mon). 2 deaths before E4.

Kanto seemed a little easier to guarantee yourself certain encounters, since I was playing with no dupes clause.

So my 3rd attempt was vanilla Leaf Green. Finally got over the final hurdle and beat the E4 Champion.

My team was Charizard, Raichu, Slowbro, Starmie, Dragonite and Snorlax. 0 deaths before E4 and lost Raichu and Slowbro during battle with Blue.

I'm probably going to try vanilla Emerald again. I made a lot of mistakes during some battles and was a little careless about trying to increase the chances of certain encounters.

After that attempt, I'd like to try a rom with the gen 4 physical special split. What roms would people recommend?
