Emerald Nuzlocke Help

I am at the 5th gym (Norman, normal types) and I have had a lot of deaths on my team recently, so my team is pretty under leveled and none of them have a type advantage. The leaders pokemon range from level 27 to 31 and my team has a level 31, 21, 12, 15, and an egg(which I think is a Wynaut). I don't think I should take the gym on yet, so I need to level grind. Where is the best to do it at this point? I would really appreciate the help and advice because I don't want to fail and start all over.
