Is adding an extra rule to keep Umbreon alive ‘cheating’ nuzlocke?

I’ve just started a randomizer nuzlocke on soulsilver and the random egg I got gave me my fav pokémon, Umbreon! A little bit later she died due an unfortunate destiny bond. I was devestated. I enjoyed my playtrough less without my Umbreon by my side. It got me thinking about adding an extra rule to the playtrough. I came to to following possibility: i can revive Umbreon if I let one of my other 5 main pokémon go. This rule only counts for her. Do you guys consider this ‘cheating’ in a Nuzlocke? I’m having mixed feelings about it, even though im glad I can have Umbreon again lol.
