Not sure how its going on other hospitals but this is a new policy at mine
Post Body

So, as a new policy, the hospital I work at decided its ok to place Covid positive patients in any unit where there is a free room.

I get it, we are transitioning and now it seems they want to treat it like the flu (at least thats the idea behind this policy).

What bothers me is not taking care of them, is that they place this patients adjacent to inmuno compromise patients. I gor three covid patients around a cancer patient.

We all feel like the administration rather risk spreading covid to get more money and hse the staff as collateral when shit hits the fan.

Edit: Forgot to mention that covid and cancer patients are under the care of the same nurse. There are to groups of patient that both have cancer and covid patients and we are trying to see of we can move all the covid patients to one elside of the unit, but my hopes are low
