I was doing a double shift at the ER and a patient asked if he could be seen right away after waiting an hour and I said he will get called when he gets called. Then goes to say that his tax dollars pays my salary and demands me to see him right away. I , who has been working for 14 hours, like to think of myself as a man of patience, but that little statement of his pissed me off so i grab quarter out of my pocket put it in his hand and say ‘Here’s your refund’ and walked away fuming not listening to the guy cursing me off. Anyone else who was in this situation? How do you not lose it?
