I keep seeing terms like “charge nurse” tells x nurse there is an admission coming etc. around but I am confused. Are there different nurses for the same patient, like a charge nurse, medication nurse etc? In Singapore if the Nurse is the charge nurse she does everything. She follows the rounds, serves medications, documents, does admissions and discharges and everything in between including ADLs. Of course there are other staff to help with ADLs but that’s about it, the rest is all on you. Is it different in the US and other countries?
