You know what I’m getting sick of? Seeing all that virtue signaling without seeing any actual virtue… you mean to tell me that you’re gonna post some long list of reasons why you’re such a compassionate, caring, loving nurse and that you’ve sacrificed soooooo much for your patients. That you’ve lost so much, and done so much, and you can’t take a fucking shot or two? Goddamn. The entitlement of people lately just astounds me.

You know I was having a conversation with a life-long VEHEMENT republican patient in the ER the other day, figured That when the conversation turned political that I’d have to try to change the subject because the entire political structure of the world has pretty much gone to shit. She talked about how amazing this country used to be and how sick she is seeing people that she used to look up to act like babies. She talked about getting vaccinated for small pox and polio and how there wasn’t all this hemming and hawing, instead people did it. Regardless of fear, regardless of politics. They did it, because they recognized that it not only protected them, but the people around them. The people they supposedly love. She continued to say how she doesn’t see how her once beloved country could be filled with such ignorant, selfish people. It was astonishing.

And yet all these “victims” being fired for not getting vaccinated are posting all of their sacrifices, “laying themselves out bare for the world to see”. Why? Not to justify their actions, not because they actually care, because they want the fucking attention. Practice what you preach or get the fuck out of the way. Oh, you were an L&D nurse and you educated parents on the importance of vaccinations to protect the baby? Sweet then shut the fuck up and take the shot you hypocrite. Don’t tell me this has anything to do with any sort of scientific research you’ve somehow found but the majority of the scientific community missed, you’re making the choice to not get vaccinated because you’re an entitled, self-righteous, victim that just wants the attention.

Cool, so you can’t work as a nurse in any major hospitals, why don’t you “ovary up” and head over to Africa and help out with one of the many outbreaks of diseases that don’t have an effective disease, and probably won’t have an effective vaccine for a long fucking time either. You know why? Because they’re fucking poor, on the other side of the world, and the majority of the population couldn’t give two fucks about them. So if you’re such a virtuous, caring, compassionate nurse, and yet feel as though your rights have been taken from you: go take a fucking plane ride and see what it’s like to live somewhere where people really don’t have rights. Not only will you see the lives of those without rights, you’ll see the lives of those who the majority of the world doesn’t care about. See how that changes your worldview.

TL:DR: I’m more sickened by the ignorance and victimization of registered nurses than I am by the ignorant, uneducated people in this country.

Sorry for the rant. I’ve just seen far too many whiners on social media lately posting that they’ve been terminated and blah blah blah.
