New grad in Austin job opportunities?
Post Body

Hey everyone. As the title states I am an (almost, in two weeks) ADN new grad with my NCLEX scheduled for April-May who is also moving to Austin in that time frame. I've already heard stories about how Austin nurses are paid shit-all and while that is a concern, I am way more concerned about even finding a job. I've already begun applying to new grad residencies at both St. David's and Seton, have looked into dialysis facilities, and same-day surgery centers, but apparently ADN's are very seldomly hired, to my understanding. I have also already started applying to RN-BSN programs, so I guess that's something? I guess I am looking for advice to which other areas I can look into? I'm pretty much open to anything, hospital obviously being prefered as I wish to build my clinical skills. Thanks in advance.
