Best way to thank the nurses?

Post Body

My youngest sibling (early 30s) had major heart surgery, just now leaving the CCU. The nurses were incredible and SO SO sensitive to not just a major health event and my crazy family, but to the fact my sibling has not come out to our parents yet about their gender identity.

They were so wonderful about staying true to them and also making sure to be careful of what they said to our parents so my sibling could have the agency to discuss it how they wanted to, when they're ready.

That being said.. I really want to thank them but not sure what's appropriate? Can they accept sweet treats? Gift cards to a local coffee shop? It's just been such an emotionally draining time and they've really taken such great care of everyone.

Hope this is Ok to post here and many thanks in advance.

I agree it's in the job.. but my family certainly doesn't make things easy and it was the sincerity of which they respected my siblings wishes that really struck me. It wasn't like "oh I just have to say this pronoun" or something.

I'll look into this. They were all amazing but there was one who I really think made a huge difference when we weren't sure how things would go.

I saw these on the wall! I will 20000% fill them out.

Yeah I think a nice letter and maybe like a gift basket of bath bombs from lush or something? I'd love to do the catering but I'm not sure that would work for that floor.
