My case is still open so I can’t say much, but I got slapped with a second degree felony due to a mental health crisis (postpartum psychosis). I’m currently waiting to hear back if the state will drop my charge to 2 misdemeanors (which I would plea no contest to) or drop it to third degree assault. I’m currently looking into BON attorneys in both AL and FL so hopefully I’ll be able to sit for the NCLEX, but what are my odds? Anyone else have something similar happen? I’ve never been in trouble before and I have the documents for the multiple baker acts (3x in under 2 months) and the official diagnosis of PPP. I’m wanting to do OBGYN to educate moms (especially new moms) about PPP and their partners of the signs of it so they won’t be failed like I was..
