Post Body
I have been a nurse for about 2 yrs and yesterday I made a mistake. I started working in the ICU in January and my patient needed a lab drawn. I couldn’t find the patient’s lab sheet so I got a downtime form and was going to send it to the lab. I put the wrong patient’s label on the downtime form. Honestly, I feel horrible. Luckily, the error was caught. I called the lab and they were able to take out the result for the wrong patient but I just feel like it was such a stupid mistake on my part🥲
