why do so many nurses value the objective over the individual?
Post Body

i swear to fucking god i cannot stress enough how frustrating it is to work with nurses who believe there is "cna work".

obviously none of the CNAs are expecting you to do their rounds or dress and do everything for their patients (who are also YOUR patients???) but do you seriously believe you can't answer a call light? bring someone a cup of water? help someone into the bathroom since you're already in the fucking room?

and i honestly don't wanna see any comments about "we already have enough work to do" when you literally approach me to do 5 different things for someone you were just in the room with whilst i hold 20 supplies in the right arm and a trash bag in my left, clearly implying that I'M ALREADY IN THE MIDDLE OF A TASK. so spare me the busy bullshit

or when i approach you multiple times to tell you that a patient isn't feeling well or is constantly calling for the same thing that only a nurse can provide them, and you invalidate their wishes through the CNA who then has to return to the patient and now WE look like the negligent imcompotent fuck

i know i'm gonna get hell for this because it's reddit but idgaf, lazy nurses like this are actually insane and i wish i could speak up to someone about it IRL
