As the title states, a nurse (charge) is being balmed for gettinf cornered and attacked by a patient. Patient had attempted suicide at home, he was not baker acted and no one had ordered a tox screen panel.
Patient was basically being baby sat and ended up becoming violent and attacked his nurse (the charge nurse) the cna, another nurse, and others who came to help.
Police had to be called.
Administration is saying the nurse could have had done it differently and is placing the blame on her for basically trying to de-escalate the situation.
Our workplace is a "No restraint" place because patients have died under them thanks to negligent nurses who dint do their jobs.
So, no one is to be restraint unless they get this violent.
