Is coconut oil just as good as suntan lotion?

Post Body

On the first 3 photos, I used coconut oil. If you see the results of my suntan, my skin feels better and also looks better. However, when I used suntan lotion at a different time (see the last 3 photos), my skin just felt burnt regardless the fact that it was SPF50, and most of all, it just felt sticky. The only downside with coconut oil is that I have to apply it more often. Every time I lie down and pick a side to suntan, the side touching the beach towel will always absorb the oil away while suntan lotion sticks quite good. Since I am not an expert on skin health, I was just wondering what people find from these.
