Wanted to share a positive story with you all. I’ve always wanted to get some nude hiking in but never found the right situation or psyched myself out or some combination of both.

Yesterday was a very warm day in southern CA so I took the opportunity to hike to the top of one of our local mountains. Hadn’t anticipated this as a nude hike but some things worked in my favor. One, the trail was mostly empty. Saw 3 others stretched across 9 miles. Second, and more important, for the most part you could see up and down the trail for a mile or two each way.

So, on the way down I went for it and realized that freehiking truly is amazing. And, my fear of bumping into someone actually was met. I mentioned about having good views for the most part. There was one switchback that was a bit blind and Murphy’s law came to pass. Walked around and a couple was coming up the trail. They saw what I was doing but I turned around and put my shorts on quickly without making an issue and as I passed them they made friendly conversation. So, not a big deal at all!

My goal this year is to get back into hiking in a big way and hopefully more opportunities like this arise.
