Concerns over the safety of children in Nudist environments. How do I respond?

Post Body

Hey Everyone! I'm a relatively new nudist (24M) who just started on the journey last year. I've been acclimating my partner to the nudist way of life, and we have been pretty avid home nudists since then and love to disrobe when we get the chance. However, I've noticed a big hurdle in ideas with regards to children. I know this can be a hot topic question especially with the pedo panic going on in the states at the moment. Unfortunately, I would love the idea of starting a naturist family and raising my kids in a clothing optional environment. However. she sees it differently. She believes that by allowing children to get used to being around nude adults, it makes them a bigger target for predators, since they would see nothing wrong with being around a nude adult. Further, she doesn't like the idea of bringing a child to a nude beach because she wouldn't want a creep getting off on seeing our child naked. I tried telling her that there are a lot of documented benefits to a child growing up in naturist environments, but she maintains that a middle ground approach is better, basically being dressed everywhere but not freaking out over moments of nudity, like getting out of the shower. She maintains that she grew up that way and still has no problems desexualizing the human body, confidence, etc.

I'm at a loss trying to find statistics and studies done on the rates of child sexual abuse in kids who grow up naturist. I tried telling her that you can tell the child that touching is not okay. only be nude when parents say its okay, etc, but she insists that children are dumb and don't understand nuance like that. I really love her and would love to start a family one day but I also don't want to let go on the idea of raising my family naturist and going to resorts and stuff. Should I break it off for the sake of us both, or am I being an extremist like she says? Thanks guys!

Maybe you two can visit a family resort and ask the other people there how they deal with it?
