Long term I have plans to get a degree in field and go from there but in the meantime I am trying to see the possibility of getting an operator position at a plant . I was a non-nuke ET in the Navy and have about a decade combined of general mechanical and electrical experience. I would be looking to be in the area of the Surry plant in VA or Shearon Harris near Raleigh.
From what I've been researching, there are options for non-licensed operators. I am mostly just unsure where to start and what I can do to improve my chances of getting a position at one of these plants.
Any advice would be appreciated.
