My idea is that you're my best friend's mom and you were also best friends with my mom as we grew up. As two single mothers, you found yourself competing with each other in juvenile ways that your son and I didn't understand until we got older. You'd compete over who had nicer shoes, a better purse, a richer boyfriend, and even who'd get married again first. Now, my mother has found herself pregnant again through IVF despite her age. You can't let her beat you so you call me up, desperate to have me knock you up the old fashioned way
