Misogynistic World

A prompt a little more on the simple side today. I’d build this world out together while playing short scenes along the way, then if we are clicking we’ll dive into a more extended RP

Your character couldn’t believe it was finally happening, she sat upstairs in her bedroom while downstairs men decided her fate. They were negotiating to marry her off, she would soon become property of her new husband.

This wasn’t a surprise, it had happened to her two sisters, she had basically been training her whole life for this, but now that the moment was here she was nervous, and it didn’t seem all that fair. She had known all along this was a very misogynistic society, and she had heard from the women in her life that some husbands could be kind and some could be cruel. She wasn’t even allowed to know who had asked for her hand, not that it would have made a difference anyway.

I want to build this world out together. How has your character been prepared for this day, what is this society like? I have a lot more questions and I really want to focus on building this world out first, but the filters don’t seem to like a lot of questions so please reach out to discuss.
