I've been wanting to explore this idea that I have in my head, that I think could be very hot (both for the dominant ladies and the worldbuilders.) I want to discuss a nice and well-defined world where the traditional gender roles in our world are completely reversed! Society is radically different from how we know it. I have a few thoughts on how, and I welcome your additions to this list.

1.Women are the (majority) movers and shakers! From rulers and knights in the middle ages to high powered execs, world leaders and the movers and shakers in the modern age! Men are the weaker sex, traditionally encouraged to stay at home and tend to the kids, and fill positions like teaching, nannying, cleaning and serving tables, although in the modern age this is a little better.

2.Homosexuality and non-traditional identities are completely accepted, although male homosexuality is seen as something erotic (much like how lesbianism is oversexualised in our world, but Im not here to debate politics!)

3.(Somehow) Polygamy is acceptable for women (on the proviso they marry all their partners or none), although monogamy is also gaining traction. This allows women of influence to maintain "harems".

4.Ancestry is tracked Matrileanially, meaning children get their last names from their mothers.

5.Maternal leave of course is the bomb, and after the pregnancy and recovery, women traditionally return to work, leaving a man to take care of their kids

6.Women who sleep with many men are praised as "sluts" and consider the name a badge of honor, while men who sleep with many women are considered "studs" and "studshamed". Men who do this for money are called "hustlers" and male prostitutes fill brothels.

7.Beauty standards are harsher on men, and usually a slender, short form (femboys xD) are preferred by a lot of women, although in the modern age emos and jocks are starting to gain popularity too

And so much more! To me this world offers huge potential for development (especially depending on which era you want to play this in!)

My story ideas are:

1. Its the medieval ages. A retinue of a few knights and their squires is on its way back to their Lady's keep after a battle. As night approaches, they shelter at an inn run by a widower, whose late wife was once the proprietor. The battle worn soldiers' eye is on this shapely, youthful widower, and who knows what might befall this defenseless innkeeper.....

2. A man is interning at a major firm on wall street, which has very few men in high places. And maybe the intern is willing to eat out his way to a full time position or even becoming a secretary.......
