You read the whole thing in just one night. You didnt sleep, you just read. Jumping from one restraining spell to another one. You... had to try them. Try them all. But how? On whom? The first and only warning of the book was not to try them on yourself. One tiny mistake and it was all over. Safety first, always. So you had to convince someone to do a test run for you. A good friend. Maybe a naive one. Someone like... me.
