Lowe tells countless stories of not being able to function properly with the condition, which was diagnosed as a protrusion on the C5/6 discs on the left side of his spinal cord (Lowe is left-side dominant), or Brown-Sequard syndrome, damage to one half of the spinal cord.
The condition has caused numerous and continuing problems with his body: leaving his left hand in a βclawβ like shape, hand and arm numbness, tingling in his fingers, left leg weakness, poor balance and limb spasms which can see him stumble and fall over.
So, is that damage to his Brachial Plexus which supplies the upper body, I'm guessing either the ulnar nerve or medial..?
Just prepping for my exams in 4 months
Raditz (Roots) C1- C8, Trunks, 6 Divisions (Divides)(Posterior, Inferior), Cords (Cell), into Branches
Musculoc innervates with the anterior arm, Axillary innervates the post, infer, medial deltoids and teres minor (Minor or Major)
Radial Nerve innervates the posterior arm and lateral side of the forearm (radius)
Long Thoracic Nerve innervates the Serratus Anterior, if there's nerve damage to the LTC then Winged Scapula may be present. The motion of the Serr Anterior is to protract the Scapula towards the posterior ribs - if the Serr Ant is weak it may not pull on the scapula, thus Winged Scap may also be caused by this
edit: Ranted a bit here, right about some things, with some missing some details, good progress before my semester starts, keep going!
