So my son's birthday is coming up and he wants Pokemon cards to trade with his school friends.
Now he is rather young and doesn't know how to play the game being more interested in the artwork.
I don't expect the cards to stay in good condition, one of the cards he traded for was completely unreadable due to fade.
So I am looking more for cards in poor condition as I would hate to see good cards get ruined.
I figure there are some card stores in the area where I can get him a bunch of cards for pocket change since I am looking for art work and quantity rather than the cards to be effective in the game.
I just don't know where to go or what good prices for junk cards are.

I also know that there are some shiny type cards that I guess he will want since they look cooler.
What is the price point on these type of cards?
If you have any other advice on specific cards to look for please let me know.
