You: Riding some sort of Suzuki ahead of me on Prince Williiam Parkway, about 9am, when we got to the area with road construction. The road has milling grooves and is about to be paved. I could tell by your riding style you’re new to this, and likely thought Saturday morning would be easy with less traffic. You appeared to be just out for a fun ride. I’d been hanging back enjoying my drive home and watching your ride. I knew you were going to slow down to negotiate the grooves but the drivers behind you were impatient and started aggressively driving around you and overtaking. One almost ran you down because they weren’t paying attention, I know you saw that because your bike and head reacted to it.

Me: I’m the white Audi that aggressively accelerated in and cut behind you to block. I know you saw that too, we made eye contact in your mirror. I followed you for several miles, blocking through that mess and then longer still afterwards. I could tell you’re new, wasn’t expecting the grooves, and the traffic and grooves were freaking you out. You needed time to recompose. When it came time for me to go my own way, I rolled down the window, waved as I passed and you were gone.
