About a month ago I was crossing the Woodrow Wilson Bridge to Virginia, on the Virginia side local lanes, furthest left lane. The car in front of me was driving erratically and suddenly swerved into the median divider hard, I slammed on my brakes and avoiding crashing into them. The other car immediately without stopping swerved all the way across the highway to take the first exit on the Virginia side. Luckily it didn't appear that any other car was hit, but their bumper was dragging all across the ground.

I immediately called 911 which PG county picked up and transferred me to VA State Police. They took my statement of license plate #, car description, and hung up on me. I also dialed Alexandria Police directly and notified them after since the state police didn't seem to care.

How do I follow up in seeing if this person was caught? I had a Tesla dashcam recording of it occurring and reported it, I want to make sure this driver isn't endangering other people on the road in the future.
