Traveling from the US, do you know if I can purchase a cell phone for 1.5 months of use?

I've looked into my US phone company that would have options for traveling to the UK. Last time I was here in 2018, I was able to pay $60 for a full month of use. Now. Same company wants to charge $10 per day, totalling at $450.00 for 6 weeks. Jeebus.
I need access to maps and internet while traveling in UK for navigation. Not super concerned about calls back to the US. I can just use wifi calling or some app.
