Watched a Storm Together

I was sitting on my porch watching the first big thunderstorm of the season and I saw a little black creature across the street and thinking it probably wouldn’t respond, I made the little noise (don’t know how to describe it) you make when you want a cat to come to you. Surprisingly, it seemed pretty excited to run over and sat with me making biscuits on my lap while we watched the storm. I have dogs, but if he wants a treat every now and then he knows where I live now.
