Mid-terms are in two years. Is that enough time to begin to break the two party system? As angry as we all are, can we collectively swallow our pride and try and build bridges with our maga-friends, family, and neighbors. Try and get them to see how our politicians are trying to hurt us? Is it enough time to find volunteers to run for office in county, city, and state positions?
At the end of the day, this isn’t just a Trump problem. Our democratic officials also voted to ban TikTok and silence us. They also voted to send money to Isreal when we all demanded they stop. With an exception of a handful of our representatives, they don’t care about us. They’re ready and willing to accept money from anyone.
I’m tired of only hearing about third party options during presidential elections when they have no chance of winning. Only to disappear again once the election is over. I want third party options in my local government. I want third parties in congress.
Can we enshrine donation limits and salary caps based on minimum wage into our constitution on? Even if it’s our state constitutions?
I feel like I’ve been protesting for half my life (I literally have) and the only protest that have made any difference are ones where I protested with my wallet.
both sides are absolutely cancer to society. but i also can’t help but feel that MAGA is proving survival of the fittest. if they can’t see thru what they’re promoting and celebrating, i can’t have sympathy. i don’t have it for people celebrating biden either, but one feels more sinister than the other. and it feels like a lost cause trying to break thru to those people

yes i agree with you 10000%. how confident are you that we actually can get thru to them? my personal experience is that even my parents, who were insane trump supporters, both did not vote in the 2024 election. i have expressed my points to both of them, and they’re both hesitant and idk how serious they take my opinions and arguments
