TikTok was a place for people all across the globe to congregate, communicate, and learn from each other. It was a source of income for many & an unbiased news source for all. Without it, we wouldn’t have seen firsthand accounts of domestic tragedies, let alone the atrocities in Gaza. Now, this source of not only entertainment but unbiased information has been taken from us. And we have nowhere to go to vent our rage. Sure, we can on Reddit and other social media sites, but it’s not the same. TikTok was a place we could go to for instant, raw reactions to major events such as this, now everything is so quiet. It’s incredibly isolating, which I imagine was their goal—isolation. And we are just going to let it happen, because people are too jaded, too burnt out, too tired to do anything. We’ll never be able to go back.
i feel like my entire lifeline was cut off.
