It was about 4am, I was in bed. Eyes closed. Between asleep and awake. That state where you're still semi-aware of whats going on around you but at the same time you're zoning out and drifting into a peaceful slumber.
I felt something creep up beside my bed, but this is pretty normal. I have a very big dog (rottweiler) and she likes to pace around especially in the early morning hours. She often sniffs around my room at night doing whatever it is dogs like to do, but eventually comes and lays next to my bed when she feels like sleeping. I've grown used to feeling her presence around me and I just figured it was her and continued to doze off.
Then I felt something get very close to my face. My dog doesn't do this. Hot breath. It smelled terrible.
A raspy voice whispered gently but aggressively into my ear, literally RIGHT in my ear, "Time for sleep."
It kind of jolted me awake and then I immediately heard barking and growling.
It was at this point I fully woke up and shot straight up in bed. Just in time to see a pale figure dart through my bedroom door being chased by my dog.
"Go to sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep", it screamed in that same voice, almost pleading with me, as it completely went out of my view. It was in no way, shape, or form a human voice.
I only was able to see the creature for maybe 3 seconds. The only glimpse I got of it was due to the moonlight coming in through the window, and the faint light coming my from TV since the sleep timer hadn't kicked in yet. From what I saw, it looked to be about 3 feet tall, pink-fleshy pale, hairless, very thin, and had a big head with big black eyes. Definitely not human nor any animal I've ever seen.
When I was able to shake off the shock of this encounter and regain some of my senses, I slowly made my way into the living room. My dog was staring out the window and barking like a wild animal.
The window was wide open, and the screen was busted out. I sat down on the couch in complete disbelief and my dog came up to me and put her head in my lap. She was whining and shaking a bit, but no worse for the wear.
She got a big bag of delicious treats the next day. I think she saved my life.
