I've been a lurker for a long time. This is the first time that I've felt compelled to share my experiences on here. I've had an array of paranormal experiences for most of my life. Some have been good, others have been bad. Most of my experiences occur within my family house, spanning from the mid '90's to about 4 months ago when I moved out on my own. The house was built in the 19th century. I guess I'll start from the beginning and see how you guys like my experiences. Please feel free to ask anything. I'll answer to the best of my ability. All my stories are true and i will recount them to the best of my ability.
I moved into my family house in NJ (across the many bridges to Philadelphia) before I entered 2nd grade. This house had been owned and lived in by parts of my family since the '60's. This house is an old victorian and had many creaks and groans due to its age. Now my mom claims to be sensitive to paranormal entities and for a long time I was skeptical until I started experiencing things as well. My step father and brother, on the other hand are still skeptical to this day. Anyway, I digress...
The first experience I remember hearing about involves my step father. He was driving to a friends house in Canada for a visit. He had decided to drive all night to get there. Not the brightest idea. At some point during the drive at night, he had fallen asleep while driving. Suddenly he awoke and saw he was about to hit a street sign. Started, he swerved out of the way and narrowly missed it. It was at this point that he checked the time and decided to pull over and get a night's rest before continuing the rest of his journey. The rest of his trip went by without incident. On his return journey, he decided to pinpoint where his accident almost occurred. Upon driving the stretch of road he had been on previously, he soon realized there were no road signs at all.
After the long journey, he recounted his trip and the strange incident to my mother. After he finished his story, she asked what time this accident had almost occurred. He recounted the time and my mother turned pale. Apparently the night he fell asleep behind the wheel, she awoke from a sound sleep, startled and scared at precisely the same time.
If there is a great demand, I shall recount more experiences, some of which are a bit more entralling.
