Hello,
I was listening to some Rotlaus songs recently, and with my very limited knowledge of Norwegian (Bokmål), while reading the lyrics, I noticed that some words are spelled/pronounced differently, so I was wondering what form of Norwegian they use, I'm very curious.
I found their Wikipedia page and it looks like they are from Ørsta in western Norway, so maybe Nynorsk. It's just a very rough guess and according to the Wikipedia article it says that the official language is Nynorsk. It's probably even a regional dialect (if that's the correct term).
I will appreciate your answers, I would love to know and understand a bit more about the band and the language, I think that through the lyrics some strong feelings and messages can be shared, even more so when the artists use their dialects, I think it is even more powerful sometimes.
