There are all sorts of things that scare us. The dead scare us, for one day we will all be dead like they are. Cemeteries scare many of us, for we do not know what is waiting for us in a cemetery. The sound of leaves rustling, or tree branches are moaning, or some say they can hear the whistling of whistling Joe who likes to follow visitors. Sometimes we see strange figures in the distance or the sound of footsteps in the leaves.
For the dead in here, they experience things that even today still scares us. The historical scary and ghoulish stories that live on in here will make your skin crawl. From tales of the Thanksgiving Skeleton to Jack the Ripper these stories will leave you with goose bumps.
Now a days most people say that they do not believe in ghosts and strange happenings. Yet they still they still fear the dead and think their spirits walk this Earth. From tales of murder to the unluckiest man, no matter how scary the stories are, you will always be here to listen to them.
When death arrives, it is usually the end of the story. But here in Elmwood Cemetery these stories are only the beginning.
If you think you are brave enough to visit a cemetery and hear the stories that will leave goose bumps. On Oct. 22nd or 30th 2021 at Elmwood Cemetery at 2 pm.
