Less volatile servers for router VPNs?

NordVPN servers are very volatile when it comes to performance. You connect to a server and the performance is good, a couple of hours later it might be quite bad because more people have connected to it. No biggie - you just reconnect with the NordVPN client and it assignes you a less utilized server and the performance is great again.

For us router VPN users however this is a real struggle as we cannot simply switch over to another server with a single click of a button.

How are other router VPN users tangling this issue? Do you just not care or do you have a solution?
