Advice for an up and coming development associate?

Post Body

Hi everybody!

I’m happy to announce that I have been promoted to development associate after only a month at my current job. As of Monday, I will be assuming my new role. I couldn’t be more excited and I feel very flattered to be offered a promotion this early on.

Any advice for a new development associate? I work for a non-profit that specializes in economic development in a major American city. I’ve been told so far to learn the language my organization uses for grants and to learn my organization inside and out.

Thank you in advance!
